Another free gift that is popular when people buy their blue mobile phone is the Nintendo DSi White. Unfortunately Nintendo have not thought that the UK market is ready for a blue version of the DSi to match your handset, as the only colours currently released are the white and the black versions. I don’t think that the Japanese market even has the pleasure of a blue DSi, so we could end up waiting a while for one to become available.
Anyway, moving away from the disappointment of not having a blue version of the DSi and returning to the DSi console itself…
The Nintendo DSi White is the next generation in the highly successful DS range of handheld video game consoles that Nintendo has swept the market with over the course of the last few years.
The DSi retains the twin screens which seemed such a novelty when they were first introduced in the DS, but adds two cameras as well. Yes, that’s right, not just one camera but two cameras are built in to this unit. One of the cameras is situated inside the body of the DSi unit facing the game player and Nintendo has taken portable gaming to the next level by using this camera to take a picture of the user and include them in the game – how cool is that? The other camera is located on the outside of the DSi unit and is used to take pictures just like any other digital camera.
Once again Nintendo have added a twist by also providing what they describe as software lenses to enable the Nintendo DSi white user to distort, manipulate and generally cause havoc with the pictures that you take. For example, you could take a picture of your friends and end up distorting and stretching the picture so that they end up looking like the recipients of some seriously bad plastic surgery.
Other new features include improved sound capabilities, a much faster processor and more memory capacity, and a smaller and lighter unit. Visit our free gifts page for information about blue mobile phone tariffs which include the Nintendo DSi.
